The Urban Jungle...and Savannah, and Arctic, and...OK, the Cincinnati Zoo

I have always loved animals (I used to rent and watch National Geographic documentaries as a child. No lie, ask my family.) and was lucky to grow up in a region that has a jewel of a zoo and botanical garden. I still love animals to this day. If you have not been in a while or have never been to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, you are doing yourself a major disfavor!

The one on the left came over and stole that leaf from the one on the right. Not a very good friend!

This Alligator Snapping Turtle was at least 5 or 6 feet long from tail to nose, I kid you not.

Yawning.

Works Projects (or Progress) Administration. Gotta love government investment in infrastructure and cultural amenities! They did it once, no reason not to do it again.
